SANITATION SUPERVISOR

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of our facilities. Reporting directly to the site Director of Operations, this position oversees the sanitation team and maintains stringent sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for executing sanitation procedures, training staff, and collaborating with other departments to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
LEADERSHIP
- Lead, train, and supervise the sanitation team to ensure adherence to sanitation protocols and standards.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve cleanliness goals and foster a culture of excellence.
- Promote workplace safety, diversity, and respect among sanitation staff.
OPERATIONAL AND FINANCIAL
- Monitor and report sanitation performance metrics to management, recommending improvements as needed.
FOOD SAFETY:
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment and facilities meet sanitation standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: Preferred experience in food or production/manufacturing plant operations work environment, demonstrated leadership skills, demonstrated team building skills, including demonstrated ability to motivate others. Knowledge of process improvement techniques preferred.
Language Fluency: No specific language requirements; bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
Technology: ability to use i-Pad and/or equivalent devices.
Licensure: No Licensure required
REQUIRED PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE/SENSORY ABILITIES:
Locomotion: Sufficient to allow moving about between various environments and on different surfaces to perform job various tasks associated with sanitation work.
Muscle Strength & Flexibility: Ability to bend, reach, stoop, squat, pivot, turn, balance, walk, push, pull, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Sustained Fast Pace: Ability to perform duties, responsibilities, and assigned tasks with maximum efficiency and effectiveness while working at a sustained pace.
Near Vision: Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Oral Expression: Ability to communicate information and ideas speaking so others will understand.
Problem Sensitivity: Ability to swiftly recognize and anticipate potential issues before they escalate, thereby enabling proactive mitigation strategies and efficient problem-solving approaches.
Emergency Response: Ability to understand, respond quickly, and move appropriately according to workplace safety protocols.
